About Me

I came to the Sanctuary with my brother Ronnie, we get on well but sometimes I find just want a bit of peace of quiet and I’d enjoy the company of a new canine friend.

My carers say I am a bit of a sensitive soul and I can be a bit unsure when I meet new people although I am already growing massively in confidence since coming to the Sanctuary and starting my training. I explore the world nose first and will have a good sniff of a new person but it can take me a little while to feel comfortable having fuss from them (and of course flopping over on them to demand my favourite belly rubs!)

With someone continuing my training in my new home and with the right support they say I will grow into an amazing dog! All I want to do it please you, I LOVE food and find training really fun although I do still daydream off in my brain following my nose sometimes! I can get a bit overexcited and have some cheeky monkey moments but I am only young and already working hard on my impulse control with my training.

My natural instincts to chase are quite strong so I couldn’t live in a home with cats or any other small animals.

In my last home I was around children 8yrs + but I can be a bit nervous and unsure with sudden movements so I would prefer to be with older children 15yrs+ but my carers would consider 12yrs+ if they are sensible & can respect my space and are used to excitable big dogs like me.

While I settle into my new home I would need someone around most of the day, but with training and routine I could be left for short periods and build this slowly.

I have so much love to give and I am ready to grow and learn with my new family <3

Foster-to-Adopt

Sometimes dogs that come into our care may need some additional support while they settle into their new home, or they may have some veterinary treatment we are completing before they can be adopted or sometimes potential adopter needs support from our team before they are ready to commit. Foster to adopt is one way we try and set our dogs up for success in their new homes by making sure both they and their hopeful adopters are getting the support they need and allows a trial period before committing to adopting as well as reducing the time they are waiting in kennels.

We base everything on a individual dog & adopter basis and our team is happy to talk to you about what support we can offer and a timeline for adoption following a successful application.
