Hullo!

My name’s Bowser

I came to the sanctuary in 2018, when my previous owners were moving to another country, and were unable to take me with them.

I did go to a home soon after arriving, but unfortunately had to return due to my standoffish and reactive behaviours with strangers and my humans were unable to cope with it.

(aside from eating tennis balls)

Since returning, I’ve settled in really well; I have a consistent routine, and I can do whatever I want in my kennel!

I’ve made quite a lot of friends at the sanctuary, staff and volunteers. It takes some time for me to get used to people but once I do, I’m a giant teddy bear!

Fortunately, I am now on daily pain relief throughout the day and my kennel has been pimped out with rubber matting so it is harder to slip when I walk around!

I’m very good at finding tennis balls on my walks and have to chew on them until they pop, but my carers say I’m not allowed to in case I accidentally eat one (again)

I love to chew up my toys all over their laps so they can enjoy it with me! I usually make light work of most toys I get given so if you think you’ve found one to challenge me, send it my way; I’d love to try it!

In my older age, I have been struggling to run around as much as I used to and have been diagnosed for arthritis, as well as having sensitive dietary requirements.

I can be quite silly when I’m in the mood for it, I quite like sticking all of my legs in the air and break dancing to show off!

Please Sponsor Me

So that I can keep playing tug of war with whatever toys I can find, and using my favourite people as sofa cushions!

To help towards the bills for my expensive medication and food.

To provide me with more time with my carers and volunteers, without pain and help keep me as comfortable as can be.

And for me to keep waiting very (im)patiently for my dinner!
