Our story so far…
We came to the sanctuary at the start of December last year from a home after our owner realised she could no longer care for us, our litter siblings Clem and Fern and our older brother Roastie. Sadly she did not believe in neutering and so our mummy was bred from multiple times. We were the known second litter born in July 2025. It is lucky that we went to the sanctuary when we did because we would have soon started inbreeding with each other meaning lots more unwanted kittens born!
Our mummy was a Sphynx cross, hairless with curled ears, so our carers believe she likely had some American Curl in her genes. Our dad was a domestic shorthair (moggy), which is our main breed, with a little Sphynx and American Curl mixed in. We may just look like domestic shorthairs with adorable curled ears, but we think that makes us extra special.
We were not in the best condition when we arrived as we were all absolutely riddled in fleas, had huge wormy bellies and coarse fur from poor nutrition. We are now in much better health after receiving all our necessary vet work, some good food and TLC!
We are both super super friendly, confident loving boys and adore attention especially me- Fig! I Am a huge cuddlebug and love to follow my carers around for cuddles and laps to sit on. They say I am a clingy boy but I just have lots of love to give and wants lots of love in return. Nothing wrong with that right? Although I enjoy playing overall I am quite a chilled calm kitten and would rather have cuddles and show off my very loud purrrrrr! My brother Klaus is just as affectionate but a little more mischievous. Our main carer says he’s not naughty, just cheeky and slightly boisterous, especially during playtime. He loves teaser toys and can get very excited, and the humans make sure to redirect any kitten nipping onto toys. He’s mostly well behaved, although I do like to remind everyone that I’m the best behaved one.
That said, I do have a small weakness, food. I’ve been known to try and steal food pouches and chew into them, and because of this our carer says all human and cat food in our new home will need to be stored safely out of reach.
Klaus and I are very bonded, we love playing together and snuggling up side by side, so we’re looking for a forever home where we can stay together.
Home we are looking for…
We could both live happily with sensible children over 8 years old who understand that kittens can sometimes become over-playful and a little nippy or scratchy, and who will help guide us towards good habits. Of course, we’ll also be expecting plenty of cuddles and love in return.
We could live with other cat friendly cats in our new home and could also live with a cat friendly dog too.
We are looking for an indoor only home with sufficient space, plenty of cat furniture, and enrichment- including lots of toys! We would prefer a home with more than one person so we have more company.
Although not essential, a home with a catio or cat proofed garden would be a bonus!
Do you think you could offer us a home with lots of company, love and fun?
We know we are a bit different and our ears make us very cute but please ask yourself would you still want to adopt us if we had those normal pointy ears? If thats a yes then read below….
Please send our carer an enquiry form and tell us why you would be the best home for us with as much detail as you can and explain why you’d be the right family for us.
Please note- Applicants will ONLY be contacted if you are a suitable match. Please be aware we complete our rehoming checks prior to arranging any meets.
Diet..
We are currently fed wet and dry kitten food. We have Scrumbles kitten dry and Whiskas kitten wet food. It is advised to feed at least a good quality dry food. It is recommended that we stay on the current food we are on whilst we settle in a new home.
Medical history…
We are both healthy young boys with no current health concerns.
TO NOTE- Due to our curled ears, our carers believe we may have some American Curl in our genetics, and we know our mum was a Sphynx. As we both have fur, we’re unlikely to experience the common skin issues seen in Sphynx cats. However, American Curls can be prone to cartilage-related ear problems and occasional joint issues, so there’s a small chance we could develop ear or cartilage concerns in the future.
Our carer recommends raised food and water bowls to help reduce strain on our necks as we grow. We’re both healthy right now, but anyone interested in adopting us should research both breeds to understand any potential health considerations linked to our genetics.
If you think you could offer us the home we need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about all of our needs and our adoption policies before applying.
Forms lacking in detail or with questions unanswered may not be considered, we need to ensure we are matching our cats to the right home for them.
