Our story so far…
Hello we are Pegasus and Unicorn
We came into the sanctuary at the end of July after being two of the nine cats cruelly abandoned on the sanctuary premises. We were let loose from carriers and left behind, and CCTV showed a van arriving and driving away after we had been dumped. Understandably, we were absolutely terrified and were found cuddled up together behind a tyre. It was obvious we were bonded and clearly sought comfort in each other. Our carer scooped us up into a carrier with no Issues. It took around a week before we felt brave enough to start interacting with our carers, but once we realised we were safe, we slowly began to show our lovely personalities.
We are naturally timid girls and can take a little time to feel comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. Once we trust you, though, we are both sweet, affectionate little fuss pots who love attention and will happily flop over to show you our bellies!
Let me tell you a little bit about my sister, Unicorn! When we first arrived, I seemed to be the more confident one, but Unicorn has really come out of her shell. She is now usually the first of us to go over to the humans for fusses and absolutely loves attention. I'm not too far behind though!
Unicorn is a little more cautious when it comes to interactive toys, whereas I'm definitely the more playful one and love chasing teaser toys. I'm sure she will discover how much fun they are once she feels completely comfortable!
We love our meals and are proper little foodies so we can easily be won over with treats!
We are now ready to find a home where we can finally feel safe, loved and settled together.
Home we are looking for…
Due to our little timid natures, we would be happiest in a quieter home. When we find our forever home, we will need a quiet room of our own to begin with, where we can feel safe while we get used to our new surroundings and our new humans. We can then gradually have access to more of our home as our confidence grows.
We could live with sensible children aged 10+ who are gentle and understanding. We think we would really enjoy having calm and gentle older little humans around to give us lots of fusses and attention. We wouldnt want a busy home with lots going on all the time though so a home with a small family or fewer people would be good for us.
We could live with another calm, gentle and cat-friendly cat, but we wouldn't like to live with dogs as we find them a little too scary for our liking.
We would be more than happy as indoor-only cats in a home with enough space and plenty of enrichment to keep us entertained and happy. Alternatively, we could enjoy outdoor access once we have had a minimum of three months indoors in our new home.
If you think you could offer us the loving home we're looking for and can meet our rehoming requirements, please complete an adoption form and tell us plenty about the home you could offer us.

If you think you could offer me the home I need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about my needs and the adoption policies before applying.
Forms lacking in detail or with questions unanswered may not be considered, we need to ensure we are matching our cats to the right home for them.
