My story so far…
Hi, my name is Robyn!
I arrived back at the sanctuary last month after my owner sadly became too unwell to care for me. I was actually rehomed from here in 2021, and my main carer remembered me straight away. The last time I was here, I was heavily pregnant and raised my kittens safely at the sanctuary before finding a home of my own.
On my recent return to the sanctuary, I was noticeably overweight, which raised concerns about my health. I’m not a greedy cat, and I may have been given unsuitable foods or more food than I should have had in my previous home. This level of weight gain can be harmful, so I’m now on a monitored diet to help me reach a healthier weight. I’ve already lost just over half a kilo and I’m feeling much better, but I still have a little way to go.
I’m a very sweet-natured, gentle, and slightly timid girl. I can be a bit easily startled, but everyone here agrees that I am one of the MOST loving cats you’ll ever meet. I absolutely adore cuddles and nothing makes me happier than curling up on a warm, comfy lap. That’s my favourite place to be. Yes, I am a needy and clingy girl but I just have so much to love to give.
I do have a playful side as well and enjoy batting my toys around when I’m in the mood. I have also been told that my tiny chirps and squeaky meows are very cute.
I may be a slightly more mature lady now, but I still likely have many happy years ahead of me. More than anything, I want a calm, stable forever home where I can settle in, feel safe, and enjoy the rest of my life without having to move again. Please keep this in mind when enquiring. My carer says my happiness and welfare are what matter most.
If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion, I would love to meet you.
Home I am looking for…
I am looking for a calm quiet home where I can feel relaxed and comfortable. I really want a home where someone is home a lot because I don’t like being left alone for too long.
I would be fine living with calm and gentle older children 10+ that understand I can be timid and respect my boundaries.
I would not be happy living with other cats or dogs. I just want the human attention all to myself.
I am looking for an INDOOR only home as I have FIV (see medical history below). I am quite content with lots of love, a full tummy and a cosy warm bed and lap!
Please note- Please bear with us, we are a small team and the cat carers deal with rehoming enquiries on top of caring for the cats. If you are successful we will be in touch as soon as possible. Please be aware we complete our rehoming checks prior to arranging any meets.
Medical history…
I do have FIV- Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. I was tested and diagnosed with FIV in 2021 when I was previously at the sanctuary. I have not had any issues relating to my FIV and I am a healthy girl. Of course I am more susceptible to illness and infection than a non FIV cat however that doesn't mean I will and I can still live a long happy life. Please have a further read about FIV ….F.I.V. (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) - Cat Chat / Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) - International Cat Care
I also have no teeth left. I had a much needed dental when I was at the sanctuary last time and had to have many extractions. I am a complete gummy bear! This does not bother me or stop me from eating well at all. I still have wet and dry food absolutely fine.
I was quite worried when I came back to the sanctuary- my life had been turned upside down. I was in a warm home for 4 years and then suddenly I was back in my pen and I felt a bit worried. Due to this I had a bout of cystitis as I was going in and out my trays doing little wees brought on by stress. This resolved itself fairly quickly and I didn’t have any infection so didn’t require medication. I have been put on a urinary supplement called cystease which is added into my food. It is worth me staying on this now.
Due to my FIV being pre-existing I wont be covered by insurance for it or any health issues that may occur that can be related to it. I can still be insured for other things though. A potential adopter will need to ensure they can afford any necessary veterinary costs for me in the future.
Aside from my weight I am doing really well after my recent vet check up. I had blood work done at the vets and everything is normal and healthy.
If you think you could offer me the home I need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about all of my needs and our adoption policies before applying.
Forms lacking in detail or with questions unanswered may not be considered, we need to ensure we are matching our cats to the right home for them.
