About Me

I originally came to the Sanctuary as a stray in 2024 so there is no known history on me before I came to the Sanctuary but I am a sweet, loving and very loyal boy who just wants lots of love (and lots of toys!)

I was adopted after a few months but sadly I returned to the Sanctuary in January 2025, due to a change in my behaviour. My previous adopter said I did really well in the home and for the most part was a really good boy! I gave everyone lots of love and enjoyed being in a home (especially with a comfy bed to chill on!). Unfortunately, I was struggling with things but no one knew as I don’t show stress the same way other dogs might, which lead to me reacting suddenly when I couldnt cope anymore.

Thankfully after coming back to the Sanctuary my carers kept working with me and did further assessments to help identify the things I had been silently struggling with and after some training they knew I was ready to look for my forever home.

My carers say I’m a big softie, I just love a snuggle or a belly rub and would happily enjoy your company sitting somewhere quiet watching the bees fly by. I do have my excited moments and ZOOMIES but not for too long (unless of course I’m playing with one of my doggie friends). I do love to run and rough and tumble but I generally match whatever energy level the dog I’m playing with is at so I can mix well with different dogs, even helping rehabilitate other dogs. However, as is quite typical for a big boy like me, I’m not a fan of other large males.

Home I am looking for…

  • Adopter with large breed experienced & Presa x Mastiff breed knowledge/research

  • Adult only home with only 1-2 people living in the home

  • Adopter who is willing to follow my behaviour training & management

  • I need a home in a rural or quiet area with a secure garden or secured outdoor space

  • I can be rehomed by myself or with another friendly dog (preferably female)

  • I need a home with no regular visitors and a secure safe space that I can be shut away from any visitors/ work persons.

  • I can find some things worrying so I prefer quieter walking times

Behaviour & Health

  • My carers have trained me to walk well with loose lead training and I must be kept on a short lead in public

  • I am fully muzzle trained and need to wear my muzzle in public

  • My new adopters would need to continue using my positive reinforcement training and following my behaviour management so I can live a happy life feeling safe

  • In kennels I can be frustrated and reactive through barriers

  • I need to build strong relationships to feel truly safe so I need multiple meets with potential adopters over a few weeks or longer.

  • Although I walk well on lead with my training, I do get excited and forget sometimes and as I am a big boy I need a strong handler

  • Anyone wanting to adopt me must be willing to follow my training plan, keep me on lead and muzzled in public spaces

  • I have some stiffness in my hips and elbows, I am on joint supplements to help keep me comfortable and I will need to continue joint supplements in my new home.

Things to Note

Crumpet is available to Foster-to-Adopt

Sometimes dogs that come into our care may need some additional support while they settle into their new home, or they may have some veterinary treatment we are completing before they can be adopted or sometimes potential adopter needs support from our team before they are ready to commit. Foster to adopt is one way we try and set our dogs up for success in their new homes by making sure both they and their hopeful adopters are getting the support they need and allows a trial period before committing to adopting as well as reducing the time they are waiting in kennels.

We base everything on a individual dog & adopter basis and our team is happy to talk to you about what support we can offer and a timeline for adoption following a successful application.
